शिव स्वरोदय(भाग-12)

चैत्रशुक्लप्रतिपदि प्रातस्तत्वविभेदत:।
पश्येद्विचक्षणो योगी दक्षिणे चोत्तरायणे।।301।।
भावार्थ – चैत्र माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की प्रतिपदा तिथि को विद्वान लोग प्रातःकाल उठकर तत्त्व-विचार करते हुए और सूर्य के दक्षिणायन तथा उत्तरायण को ध्यान में रखते हुए वर्षफल से सम्बन्धित प्रश्नों का उत्तर दें।
English Translation – On the first day of Chaitra (first Indian lunar month of the year, i.e. new year day) month at the time of sunrise, the wise should observe his breath, Tattva present therein and movement of the sun southward and northward from the equator; and based on them he should make predictions about the happenings during the year.
चन्द्रोदयस्य वेलायां वहमानोऽत्र तत्वत:।
पृथ्व्यापस्तथा वायु: सुभिक्षं सर्वशस्यजम्।।302।।
तेजोप्यग्निर्भयं घोरं दुर्भिक्षं कालतत्त्वत:।
एवं तत्फलं ज्ञेयं वर्षे मासे दिनेष्वपि।।303।।
भावार्थ – उस समय यदि चन्द्र स्वर का प्रवाह हो तथा उसमें पृथ्वी, जल या वायु तत्त्व सक्रिय हो, तो आनेवाला वर्ष सम्पन्नता और प्रचुर उपज से भरा होगा। लेकिन उस समय चन्द्र-स्वर में अग्नि अथवा आकाश तत्त्व की प्रधानता हो, तो समझना चाहिए कि आनेवाले वर्ष में, महीने मे एवं दिनों में अकाल पड़ेगा, बाढ़ से नुकसान होगा एवं दुख की अधिकता रहेगी।
English Translation – At that point of time, if breath is active in left nostril and Prithvi, Jala or Vayu Tattva is present therein, prosperity and ample production of grain during the year can be predicted. But presence of Agni Tattva or Akash Tattva in the breath flowing through the left nostril indicates draught, loss due to flood and miseries during the year, month and days to pass.
मध्यमाभवति क्रूरा दुष्टा सर्वेषु कर्मसु।
देशभंग महारोग क्लेषकष्टादि दु:खदा।।304।।

भावार्थ – लेकिन उस समय सुषुम्ना नाड़ी सक्रिय होना सभी कार्यों में क्रूरता तथा भयावह परिस्थियों के आगम का संकेत है, अर्थात् देश का विभाजन, महामारी, कष्ट, पीड़ा, अभाव आदि की बहुलता देखने को मिलेगी।
English Translation – Flow of breath through both nostrils indicates miseries, i.e. partition of the country, breaking out of epidemics etc.
मेषसंक्रान्तिवेलायां स्वरभेदं विचारयेत्।
संवत्सर फलं ब्रूयाल्लोकानां तत्त्वचिन्तक:।।305।।
भावार्थ – मेष संक्रान्ति के समय (जब सूर्य मीन राशि से मेष राशि में संक्रमण करता है) तत्त्व-चिन्तक को अपने प्रवाहित स्वर पर विचार करे और उसके अनुसार लोगों के लिए वर्ष-फल बताए।
English Translation – At the time of movement of the sun from Pisces to Aries, Swar-Yogi should observe his breath and make predictions for the year on the public demand.
पृथिव्यादिक तत्वेन दिनमासाब्दजं फलम्।
शोभनं च यथा दुष्टम् व्योममारुतवह्निभि:।।306।।
भावार्थ – स्वर में पृथ्वी आदि तत्त्वों की प्रधानता के आधार पर किसी दिन, मास और वर्ष का फल समझना चाहिए। यदि पृथ्वी या जल तत्त्व की प्रधानता हो, तो सुख-समृद्धि का संकेत समझना चाहिए। लेकिन वायु, अग्नि अथवा आकाश तत्त्व की प्रधानता होने पर इसके बिलकुल विपरीत समझना चाहिए।
English Translation – According to presence of Tattvas in the breath, prediction for the day, month and year should be made. If Prithvi or Jala Tattva is present in the breath, it indicates prosperity. But presence of Vayu, Agni or Akash Tattva in the breath indicates just opposite.
सुभिक्षं राष्ट्रवृद्धि: स्याद्बहुशस्या वसुंधरा।
बहुवृष्टिस्तथा सौख्यं पृथ्वी-तत्त्वं वहेद्यदि।।307।।
भावार्थ – वर्ष के प्रथम दिन प्रातःकाल स्वर में पृथ्वी तत्त्व के सक्रिय होने पर समझना चाहिए कि आनेवाले वर्ष में सुभिक्ष रहेगा, पर्याप्त वर्षा होगी, प्रचुर अनाज पैदा होगा, हर प्रकार का सुख मिलेगा और राष्ट्र की हर तरह से वृद्धि होगी।
English Translation – In the morning (sunrise) of first day of the year, presence of Prithvi Tattva in the active breath indicates prosperity, good rain, ample production of food grains, all types of happiness and development of the country.

पिछले अंक में वर्षफल पर विचार करने के लिए शिवस्वरोदय में दी गयी विधियों पर चर्चा की गयी थी। इस विषय पर कुल चौदह श्लोक मिलते हैं, जिनमें से सात श्लोकों पर पिछले अंक में चर्चा हो चुकी है। शेष सात श्लोकों पर चर्चा यहाँ प्रस्तुत है।
यहाँ पुनः यह याद दिलाना आवश्यक है कि भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में सभी राज्यों में, कुछ राज्यों को छोड़कर, वर्ष का प्रारम्भ चैत्र माह के शुक्लपक्ष के प्रथम दिन से प्रारम्भ होता है। इसे पूरे देश में भिन्न-भिन्न नामों से जानते हैं- वर्ष-प्रतिपदा, गुडीपरवा, उगादि आदि। यह भी याद रखना आवश्यक है कि शुक्लपक्ष में प्रथम तीन दिनतक प्रातःकाल चन्द्रस्वर प्रवाहित होता है। इसलिए इस दिन प्रातःकाल सूर्योदय के समय या अन्य प्रान्तों में जहाँ नववर्ष जिस दिन प्रारम्भ होता है, उस दिन कौन सा पक्ष, कौन सी तिथि है और उसके अनुसार कौन सा स्वर चलना चाहिए, इसका निर्णयकर अपने स्वर की परीक्षा करके स्वर में उदित तत्त्व के अनुसार वर्षफल का कथन करना चाहिए। सूर्य का मेषराशि में प्रवेश-काल को भी कहीं-कहीं वर्ष का प्रारम्भ माना जाता है। अतः उसके अनुसार वर्षफल समझने की विधि भी बताई गयी है।
अतिवृष्टि: सुभिक्षं स्यादारोग्यं सौख्यमेव च।
बहुशस्या तथा पृथ्वी आपस्तत्वं वहेद्यदि।।308।।
भावार्थ – यदि स्वर (चन्द्र स्वर) में जल तत्त्व प्रवाहित हो, तो अच्छी वर्षा, अच्छी फसल, सुख-समृद्धि और शान्ति के संकेत समझना चाहिए।
English Translation – If there is presence of Jala Tattva in the breath (left nostril) at the time of sun-rise, good rain, crops, prosperity and peace should be predicted.
दुर्भिक्षं राष्ट्रभंग: स्यादुत्पत्तिश्च विनश्यति।
अल्पादल्पतरा वृष्टिरग्नितत्वं वहेद्यदि।।309।।
भावार्थ – यदि अग्नितत्त्व प्रवाहित हो, तो दुर्भिक्ष, युद्ध, बहुत मामूली वर्षा आदि की सम्भावना समझनी चाहिए।
English Translation – If Agni Tattva is active in the breath, drought, war least rain etc. should be predicted.
उत्पातोपद्रवा भीतिरल्पा वृष्टिस्युरितय:।
मेषसंक्रांति वेलायां वायुतत्वं वहेद्यदि।।310।।
भावार्थ – मेष संक्रान्ति के समय यदि स्वर में वायु तत्त्व के प्रवाहित होनेपर अनेक प्रकार के उत्पात, उपद्रव, भय, अल्प वृष्टि आदि की आशंका समझनी चाहिए।
English Translation – At the time of transition of the sun into the Aries, presence of Vayu Tattva in the breath indicates different types of disturbances, fear, less rain etc.
यहाँ से मेष संक्रान्ति के समय स्वर और उसमें सक्रिय तत्त्व के अनुसार वर्षफल कथन का विधान किया गया है।
मेषसंक्रांति वेलायां व्योमतत्वं वहेद्यदि।
तत्रापि शून्यता ज्ञेयास्यादीनां सुखस्य च।।311।।
भावार्थ – मेष संक्रान्ति के समय यदि स्वर में आकाश तत्त्व प्रवाहित हो, तो सुख-सम्पन्नता का सर्वथा अभाव समझना चाहिए।
English Translation – If Akash Tattva is present in the breath at the time of solar transition in the Aries, absence of happiness in all respect is witnessed.
पूर्णप्रवेशने श्वासे शस्यं तत्वेन सिद्धयति।
सूर्यचन्द्रेऽन्यथाभूते संग्रह: सर्वसिद्धिद:।।312।।
भावार्थ – स्वर का पूर्ण रूप से प्रवाह और उसमें उचित तत्त्व की उपस्थिति सुख-सम्पन्नता के द्योतक हैं। जब सूर्य-स्वर और चन्द्र स्वर बारी-बारी से प्रवाहित हों, तो उत्तम फसल का संकेत समझना चाहिए।
English Translation - Presence of appropriate Tattva in the free flow of breath indicates happiness and prosperity. Flow of breath in the right nostril and left nostril alternately indicates good crops.
विषमे वह्नितत्वं स्याज्ज्ञायते केवलं नभ:।
तत्कुर्याद्वस्तु संग्राहोब्दिमासे च महर्घता।।313।।
भावार्थ – यदि सूर्य स्वर में अग्नि तत्त्व या केवल आकाश तत्त्व प्रवाहित हो, तो वस्तुओं के मूल्य में बढ़ोत्तरी की आशंका होती है और इसलिए समय से अनाज आदि की व्यवस्था कर लेनी चाहिए।
English Translation – Presence of Agni Tattva or Akash Tattva in the right nostril breath indicates a good price hike of the commodities and therefore people should procure them in advance.
रवौसंक्रमते नाड़ी चन्द्रमन्ते प्रसर्पिता।
वानिले वह्नियोगेन रौरवं जगतीतले।।314।।
भावार्थ – यदि मेष संक्रान्ति रात में होती है तथा उसके अगले प्रातःकाल में सूर्य स्वर में अग्नि तत्त्व, वायु तत्त्व अथवा आकाश तत्त्व का प्रवाह हो, तो संसार में रौरव नरक के समान दुख के आने की आशंका रहती है।
English Translation – If solar movement to the Aries appears in the night and in the next morning at the time of sunrise Agni Tattva, Vayu Tattva or Akash Tattva is present in the right nostril, miseries like hell are likely to be witnessed during the year.

महीतत्त्वे स्वरोगश्च जले च जलमातृत:।
तेजसी खेटवाटीस्था शाकिनीपितृदोषत:।।315 ।।
भावार्थ – रोग सम्बन्धी प्रश्न के समय स्वर में पृथ्वी तत्त्व प्रवाहित होने पर रोग का कारण प्रारब्ध होता है, जल तत्त्व प्रवाहित होने पर त्रिदोष (वात, पित्त व कफ) और अग्नि तत्त्व प्रवाहित होने पर शाकिनी या पितृदोष होता है।
English Translation – In case there is a question about a disease and Prithvi Tattva is active in the breath at the time, the cause of disease should be deeds of past life. Presence of Jala Tattva in the breath indicates physical cause (Tridosha-Vat, Pitta and Kaf) of disease and Agni Tattva presence indicates a kind of metaphysical cause (Shakini or Pitridosha).
आदौ शून्यागतो दूत: पश्चात्पूर्णे विशेद्यदि।
मूर्च्छितोऽपि ध्रुवं जीवेदद्यर्थ प्रतिपृच्छति।।316 ।।
भावार्थ – प्रश्नकर्त्ता यदि अप्रवाहित स्वर की ओर से आकर प्रवाहित स्वर की ओर बैठ जाय और किसी रोग के सम्बन्ध में प्रश्न करे, तो अन्तिम साँस गिनता हुआ मूर्च्छित रोगी भी रोगी भी ठीक हो जाएगा।
English Translation – If a person, desirous to know about health of a person, comes from the side, through which nostril breath is absent and sits on the opposite side, i.e. side of running breath, then it should be understand that the patient will recover even he is counting his last breath in unconscious state.
यस्मिन्नङ्गे स्थितो जीवस्तत्रस्थ: परिपृच्छति।
तदा जीवति जीवोऽसौ यदि रोगैरुपद्रुत: ।। 317 ।।
भावार्थ – प्रश्नकर्त्ता सक्रिय स्वर की ओर से किसी रोग के विषय में प्रश्न करे, तो रोग किसी भी स्टेज पर क्यों न हो ठीक हो जाएगा।
English Translation – A person standing on the side of active breath questions about a disease, it can be predicted that the disease will be cured what so ever is the stage.
दक्षिणेन यदा वायुर्दूतो रौद्राक्षरो वदेत्।
तदा जीवति जीवोऽसौ चन्द्रे समफलं भवेत् ।। 318।।
भावार्थ –दूत (रोगी का सम्बन्धी प्रश्नकर्त्ता) हड़बड़ाहट में बड़बड़ाता हुआ आए और रोग के सम्बन्ध में प्रश्न करे तथा उस समय सूर्य स्वर प्रवाहित हो रहा हो, तो समझना चाहिए कि रोगी स्वस्थ हो जाएगा। परन्तु यदि उस समय चन्द्र स्वर प्रवाहित हो, तो समझना चाहिए कि रोगी की बीमारी में होगा।
English Translation – If a relative of the patient comes grumbling in hurry and asks about the future of patient’s health during the flow of breath through the right nostril, restoration of health can be predicted. But if it happens during the flow of breath through right nostril, improvement in health can be indicated.
जीवाकारं च वा धृत्वा जीवाकारं विलोक्य च।
जीवास्थो जीवितप्रश्ने तस्य स्याज्जीवितं फलम् ।। 319 ।।
भावार्थ – जिस व्यक्ति का स्वर नियंत्रण में हो या उसका मन एकाग्रचित्त हो और वह सक्रिय स्वर की ओर से अपने जीवन के विषय में प्रश्न पूछे, तो उसका उत्तर शुभ फल देनेवाला समझना चाहिए।
English Translation – A person with stable breath or peaceful mind asks question about his life from the side of active breath, a positive answer can be given.
वामाचारे तथा दक्षप्रवेशे यत्र वाहने।
तत्रस्थ: पृच्छते दूतस्तस्य सिद्धिर्न संशय: ।। 320 ।।
भावार्थ – बाईं अथवा दाहिनी नाक से साँस लेते समय यदि कोई किसी के रोगी के सम्बन्ध में प्रश्न करे, तो समझना चाहिए कि बिना किसी सन्देह के रोगी स्वस्थ हो जाएगा।
English Translation – If someone asks about a patient’s health at the time of breathing in either through right nostril or left nostril, it can be predicted that the will recover fully without any doubt.

महीतत्त्वे स्वरोगश्च जले च जलमातृत:।

दक्षिणेन यदा वायुर्दूतो रौद्राक्षरो वदेत्।
तदा जीवति जीवोऽसौ चन्द्रे समफलं भवेत् ।। 318।।
भावार्थ –दूत (रोगी का सम्बन्धी प्रश्नकर्त्ता) हड़बड़ाहट में बड़बड़ाता हुआ आए और रोग के सम्बन्ध में प्रश्न करे तथा उस समय सूर्य स्वर प्रवाहित हो रहा हो, तो समझना चाहिए कि रोगी स्वस्थ हो जाएगा। परन्तु यदि उस समय चन्द्र स्वर प्रवाहित हो, तो समझना चाहिए कि रोगी की बीमारी में होगा।
English Translation – If a relative of the patient comes grumbling in hurry and asks about the future of patient’s health during the flow of breath through the right nostril, restoration of health can be predicted. But if it happens during the flow of breath through right nostril, improvement in health can be indicated.
जीवाकारं च वा धृत्वा जीवाकारं विलोक्य च।
जीवास्थो जीवितप्रश्ने तस्य स्याज्जीवितं फलम् ।। 319 ।।
भावार्थ – जिस व्यक्ति का स्वर नियंत्रण में हो या उसका मन एकाग्रचित्त हो और वह सक्रिय स्वर की ओर से अपने जीवन के विषय में प्रश्न पूछे, तो उसका उत्तर शुभ फल देनेवाला समझना चाहिए।
English Translation – A person with stable breath or peaceful mind asks question about his life from the side of active breath, a positive answer can be given.
वामाचारे तथा दक्षप्रवेशे यत्र वाहने।
तत्रस्थ: पृच्छते दूतस्तस्य सिद्धिर्न संशय: ।। 320 ।।
भावार्थ – बाईं अथवा दाहिनी नाक से साँस लेते समय यदि कोई किसी के रोगी के सम्बन्ध में प्रश्न करे, तो समझना चाहिए कि बिना किसी सन्देह के रोगी स्वस्थ हो जाएगा।
English Translation – If someone asks about a patient’s health at the time of breathing in either through right nostril or left nostril, it can be predicted that the will recover fully without any doubt.

प्रश्ने चाध: स्थितो जीवो नूनं जीवो हि जीवति।
ऊर्ध्वचारस्थितो जीवो जीवो याति यमालयम् ।। 321 ।।
भावार्थ – यदि प्रश्न के समय स्वर की गति नीचे की ओर हो, अर्थात् स्वर में जल तत्त्व के प्रवाह काल में (जल तत्त्व के प्रवाह के समय स्वर की गति नीचे की ओर होती है) प्रश्न पूछा गया हो, तो समझना चाहिए कि रोगी स्वस्थ हो जाएगा। लेकिन रोगी के स्वास्थ्य के विषय में प्रश्न के समय यदि स्वर की गति ऊर्ध्व (ऊपर की ओर) हो, अर्थात् स्वर में अग्नि तत्त्व सक्रिय हो, तो समझना चाहिए कि रोगी की मृत्यु निश्चित है।
English Translation – At time of enquiry about the health of a patient if breath flow is down wards, (i.e. Jala Tattva is active in the breath), it indicates that the patient will recover. But if the breath flow is upward, (i.e. presence of Agni Tattva in the breath) at that time, it should be understood that death of patient is inevitable.
विपरीताक्षरप्रश्ने रिक्तायां पृच्छको यदि।
विपर्ययं च विज्ञेयं विषमस्योदये सति।। 322 ।।
भावार्थ – प्रश्न पूछनेवाला खाली स्वर की दिशा में हो तथा उसकी बात समझ में न आए और यदि विषम स्वर प्रवाहित होने लगे, तो किए गए प्रश्न का उत्तर उल्टा समझना चाहिए।
English Translation – When the person who enquires about the health of a person is standing or sitting on the side of inactive breath and his talk is not clear and sudden opposite breath sets in, negative result should be predicted.
चन्द्रस्थाने स्थितो जीव: सूर्यस्थाने तु पृच्छक:।
तदा प्राणवियुक्तोऽसौ यदि वैद्यशतैर्वृत: ।। 323 ।।
भावार्थ – प्रश्न करनेवाला यदि दाहिनी ओर हो और उत्तर देनेवाले का चन्द्र स्वर सक्रिय हो, समझना चाहिए कि सैकड़ों चिकित्सकों से घिरा होनेपर भी रोगी के प्राण नहीं बच सकते। कुछ विद्वान इसका अर्थ इस प्रकार करते हैं- उत्तर देनेवाले का चन्द्र स्वर और प्रश्नकर्त्ता का सूर्य स्वर प्रवाहित हो रहा हो, तो सैकड़ों चिकित्सकों से घिरा होनेपर भी रोगी की मृत्यु निश्चित है।
English Translation – The person, who enquires about the health of a patient, is on the right side and the person who is to respond, has active breath in is left nostril, then it should be predicted that the patient will die even hundreds of doctors are around him to help. Some wise persons interpret this in other way, i.e. if the enquirer has his breath active right nostril and the responding person in left nostril, the death of the patient is inevitable.
पिङ्गलायां स्थितो जीवो वामे दूतस्तु पृच्छति।
तदाऽपि म्रियते रोगी यदि त्राता महेश्वर: ।। 324 ।।
भावार्थ – यदि प्रश्न के समय उत्तर देनेवाले का दाहिना स्वर चल रहा हो और प्रश्न पूछनेवाला (दूत) बायीं ओर खड़ा हो, समझना चाहिए कि उस रोगी को भगवान भी नहीं बचा सकता।
English Translation – If at the time of enquiry about the health of a patient, the person who enquires is on the left side of the responding person who has breath active in his right nostril, the patient will die, even God cannot save his life.
एकस्य भूतस्य विपर्ययेण रोगाभिभूतिर्भवतीह पुंसाम्।
तयोर्द्वयोर्बंधु सुहृद्विपत्ति: पक्षद्वये व्यत्ययतो मृति: स्यात्।। 325 ।।
भावार्थ – इस श्लोक में तत्त्वों के क्रम में परिवर्तन होने पर अपने तथा सम्बन्धियों के स्वास्थ्य के विषय में संकेत किया गया है।
अर्थात् जब एक ही तत्त्व का विपरीत क्रम में प्रवाह हो, तो वह रोग द्वारा होनेवाले कष्ट का संकेत है। लेकिन यदि दो तत्त्व विपरीत क्रम में प्रवाहित हों, तो वे सगे-सम्बन्धियों और मित्रों के लिए विपत्ति के संकेत हैं। परन्तु यदि एक ही तत्त्व एक माह तक निरन्तर प्रवाहित हो, तो मृत्यु का संकेत है।
English Translation – In this verse it has been stated that how change in the order of Tattvas indicates about our health and as well as that of relatives and friends.
When a person has flow of one Tattva in opposite order, he is to get sickness and when two Tattvas are active in opposite order, his relatives or friends are to face problems in days to come. But if one Tattva becomes active continuously for one month, this indicates death.
